Brian Claeys is an Emmy-winning  and Grammy-nominated film composer based in Los Angeles, California. He is primarily known for his work as an in-house composer at Sparks and Shadows, where his unique blend of modern production and traditional musicality has shaped the scores of numerous films, TV shows, and video games.

Born just outside of Washington, D.C., Brian Claeys began playing piano and composing music at a young age. In addition to playing French horn as a member of the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in D.C., Claeys studied composition for three summers at the Walden School in Dublin, NH, before enrolling at Berklee College of Music in 2015. There, he quickly immersed himself in both the Film Scoring and Electronic Music Production programs, eventually declaring a dual major and graduating in three years.

Upon moving to Los Angeles in January 2019, Claeys was hired by composer Bear McCreary and his studio, Sparks and Shadows.  Over the past six years, Claeys has composed additional music for titles such as The Walking Dead (AMC), See (Apple TV), The Last Voyage of the Demeter (Universal Pictures), Call of Duty: Warzone (Activision), and Call of Duty: Vanguard—the latter of which received a nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

In addition to assisting McCreary on multiple projects including The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Amazon Studios) and God of War: Ragnarok (Santa Monica Studios), Claeys is best known for his role as co-composer of The Serpent Queen (Starz) and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+), for which he won and accepted the 2025 Children & Family Emmy's award for Best Musical Direction and Composition for a Live-Action Program.

Beyond his compositional work, Claeys also releases solo music under the artist name Madison Manors. His first single, Embers, was released in the fall of 2021.
